City Palace Alwar, also known as Vinay Vilas Mahal, is an architectural marvel with a lovely mix of Mughal and Rajasthani styles. Embellished with fabulous murals and mirror work on the walls and ceiling, the palace has 15 imposing towers and 51 smaller towers overlooking the mountain slopes. The palace has a museum showcasing royal memorabilia. The artificial lake behind the city palace is exquisite. The halls in the City Palace have now been converted into offices of District Collectorate and Police Headquarters
